About Me

Amy Rinker, MA, LMFT

Strengthening your health through relationships and enriching your personal well-being.

As a couple and family therapist I believe our relationships and connections to others are vital to our health and wellness as human beings. I use a collaborative approach and believe therapy is the perfect platform to strengthen relationships to promote lasting positive changes, find clarity, and peace in your lives.

Rinker Therapy and Wellness PLLC grew out of my passion for empowering people to invest in their health to enrich their personal well-being and relationships.

If you’re feeling disconnected, not feeling valued, and/or seeking clarity to grow as an individual and strengthen your relationships, you’ve come to the right place.  I work with individuals, couples, and families willing to invest in their health to improve and strengthen their relationships and improve their personal well-being.  In our work together we will uncover personal blocks to propel you into more engaged and meaningful relationships.  I work to help individuals feel empowered to live their best life.

If you decide to work with me, you will learn to tackle various concerns by using your voice to express yourself authentically, understanding deeper feelings that drive your behavior, have a deeper self-awareness, and change unhelpful ways of thinking or interacting.

I am now accepting those who are ready to take this journey to strengthen their relationships, health, and make lasting positive changes.

Professional & Practice Information:

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University. I completed my B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Washington.

My love for therapy began during my internship working with a wonderful co-therapist and amazing cohort in the Couple and Family Therapy Center at Pacific Lutheran University.  I am grateful for the inspiring and empowering professors I learned from in the Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program.  I appreciate support I’ve received from the various agencies, supervisors, and colleagues I have had the opportunity to work with, learn from, and grow with.  I have deep gratitude to the individuals, couples, and families I have had the opportunity to work with in my career thus far.

Personal Information:

My practice allows me flexibility to spend more time with my son, family, friends, and my pups.  I love traveling and outdoor adventures with family and friends.  I am energized by time in nature, exercise, and engaging moments with loved ones.  I have been a pescatarian since 2009 and have enjoyed learning to cook delicious vegetarian and seafood types of cuisine. I enjoy taking photographs and absolutely love dogs!
